Saturday 11th May  will be our last meeting at library UNTIL Sept. thru Dec. of 2013. Hope everyone can make this last get together. ANY ONE is invited to WHERE EVER we hold summer gourding get togethers. Its usally at TAMMMY B house. So please try to attend those as well.  This month we are going to learn to CRACKLE and jug saw carve vine leaves on a gourd. It will be tough by Andrea... THANKS ANDREA.
Supplies as follows: med. gourd clean and cut and cleaned inside. Only cut the gourd JUST BELOW the neck. This will give you room to trace on pattern of leaves, WHICH Andrea has made copies for us... THANKS... Paint outside gourd and inside before coming to class... we are using a dark green for the first application of paint, then using crackle and then a cream white color for the top color.   Inside can also be painted dk green or black or what ever color you want.  Paint brushes, or mop brushes, or sponge brushes - used to put crackle on with and paint color as well. So hope this is enough info on supplies, if NOT let me know and I will try to clear things up.
A list of supplies  a BETTER WAY: med gourd cut clean and painted inside and out- color your choice Paints,- suggestions::: dk greem, black, cream white, lt- med green.  Paint brushes:  mop, foam brushes, to put crackle on and creamy white CRACKLE- Americana crackle, any kind found at Michaels or JoAnns;  jig saw and blades (AGAIN Andrea made copies of the leaves we will be tracing onto the gourd near the RIM to carve with jig saw.) Tracing patter stylus -  use to trace pattern onto gourd; pencils ???   Any questions feel free to contact me any time. wlalex@frontiernet.net   Also let me know if you can attend. Hopefully we will have a BIG class this last time till FALL. I have printed out Sept- Dec. schedule as well to pass out. Please Join us one last time at library and Tammy will send info out when we have play date at her house. We like to work outside to clean gourds, spray and other stuff we can't do in library... Its fun as well
Thanks - LuAnn
