Andrea Thornton from St. Johns, a gourder with over 15 years experience, shared with the group how to use crackle, transfer pattern and cut shaped edge of the gourd top. This was our last meeting at the library until the fall. Hopefully we will be getting together with other gourders in Kalamazoo during the summer months. Thanks Andrea for your patience and great sense of humor! We had lots of fun as usual.
Aleica sent in a quick report on the meeting in New Era (Sauble Points Patch) and we hope to be able to post photos of their project soon. Here is what Aleica reported:

Inside can also be painted dk green or black or what ever color you want. Paint brushes, or mop brushes, or sponge brushes - used to put crackle on with and paint color as well.
